Certified New Parent Educator
I have always been a teacher in some capacity. I have taught young children through adults. I have a Master's Degree in teaching (MAT) from Johns Hopkins University. I taught elementary school in the city of Baltimore and Chevy Chase, MD.
I moved to Massachusetts in 2002 and started a family and becoming a mother has been my greatest accomplishment Seriously, the best.
A lifelong photographer, I took coursework the Museum School of Fine Arts and at the New England School of Photography. I then started my photography career, Peg Raciti Photography, which allowed a work, family life.
My love of teaching kept sneaking into my life and I taught adults photography through continuing studies and finally as an adjunct professor at North Shore Community College.
I decided to close the business and focus upon my family which included parents that needed extra care.
The restless soul of my teaching heart continued and I found I wanted to combine my skills in media, and teaching. I had an idea for a podcast that spoke to new Moms. That is how I found CAPPA and their wonderful new program of New Parent Educator. Now I have the true skills to teach you the best practices of your new journey into motherhood! :)peg
